Our Story

For those interested here is the story of how Hope Church Aldershot started…

In 2002 Jubilee Church was started in Farnham. Fifteen years later, Jubilee had grown and transformed into one church that met in three locations: Farnham, Bordon and Aldershot.

In 2017 Steve Delves, an elder since 2012, with his wife Amber led a team to start Jubilee Aldershot. Steve became the site pastor, Jubilee was now a multi-site church.

Over the next three years the church, meeting at Wellington School, steadily grew. Jubilee Aldershot quickly engaged with the other churches in Aldershot developing joint prayer initiatives (Thy Kingdom Come & Beacon Services), mission initiatives (Who Cares), joint secondary schools work and youth work projects (FLARE). As part of the local community Jubilee Aldershot paraded on Victoria Day and sang Carols at the Bandstand at Christmas.

In 2019 Simon Berger was appointed as an elder to join Steve in Aldershot.
Having grown in number, been appointed with local elders and actively engaged with the local community it was agreed that in February 2020 the Aldershot site would transition to Hope Church.

On 02 February 2020 Hope Church was launched, and continues to operate under Jubilee Church as it transitions towards becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in its own right.
