Kids and Youth Work

Hope Church loves children and young people. Investing in this next generation is a key focus of our church. We value young people and children and attract a large number of families. We provide groups, activities and events especially for them and want them to get caught up in a vision for God that will give them direction and purpose in life.

On the first Sunday of a month we gather to worship and learn as a whole family at our family service. On the other Sunday mornings we worship as a whole church family to begin with and then children leave to go to their age-specific groups.

Please register your children at the Kids Registration Desk before the service.

Sparkbeams (0 – 4 years)

Our pre-schoolers are cared for by a dedicated team whose main aim is to make sure they have a happy morning! They play with toys, listen to songs and stories, and make very simple crafts to help them learn about Jesus.

Blaze (School Years R – 6)

Blaze is an action-packed, fun-filled, God-centred programme, where the children get to worship, pray, play games, learn from the Bible and build friendships by sharing their lives together.

First, the children register and are welcomed in their small groups. Then they all come together for games, worship, teaching, quizzes and memory verses. After that they finish the morning in their small groups again to connect the learning to their own lives, pray together, play more games, and make crafts.

Children’s safety is of utmost importance and so all our leaders complete Safeguarding training and are DBS checked. We also endeavour to have a nominated First Aid trained team member present.

Youth Work

Hope Church has a thriving youth group. It’s a great place to hang out, have fun and get to know other young people.

Every Friday we meet all together at Park Church Hall (GU11 3RB) for Friday Night Lounge. Lounge nights are packed full, involving table tennis, foosball, craft activities, games consoles, a half time faith building talk and the ever-popular weekly challenges.

When? Friday 7.30pm – 9.00pm
Where? Park Church Hall, 258 Lower Farnham Road, Aldershot. GU11 3RB
Who? All age groups (Y7-Y13)

On the first and third Tuesday and Wednesday of the month our youth small groups meet at Park Church Hall (GU11 3RB).

Basement (Yr7-9) – Wednesday 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Attic (Yr10-13) – Tuesday 7:30pm – 9:00pm

Both Attic and Basement are places where faith and life are worked out together with friends and are instrumental in building up and encouraging our young people. There is also a considerable amount of fun and snacks!

Every summer our young people head to NewDay, which is a Christian youth festival hosted by New Frontiers. This is a fantastic 6 days under canvas within the Norfolk Showground with 8000 other young people. Here the young people experience outstanding teaching, fantastic stadium-style worship and so many activities it would make your head spin!
